I try to find the gaps, the gaps between the thoughts
The spaces where the silence lies
Where torment and depression dies
Where peace appeases painful cries
And clears the path for hope to rise
Where heaven causes hell’s demise
And breath adopts a brand new guise
Where soul and heart can empathize
With dreams as yet unrealized
Where there’s no room to demonize
Nor reason to again chastise
The self for all its’ earthly ties
Where truth on wings of silver flies
A new beginning to devise
A space where I can minimize
The damage that my heart denies
The noble core that ever tries
To find the gaps, the gaps between the thoughts.
